Your
First Visit

We slow things down and really listen.

Your first appointment includes a deep-dive intake, your first acupuncture treatment, and a clear plan for what comes next.

First Visit Overview

First visits are 90 minutes to 2 hours.
We reserve exclusive time for each new patient so your visit feels calm, thorough, and unhurried. We’ll explore your health concerns in context—how you live, how you work, how you sleep, what you eat, and what patterns keep repeating—then you'll receive an acupuncture treatment that same day.

A Thoughtful Starting Point

We begin with a deep understanding of your health, habits, and patterns. Then we treat and map out what will be most effective moving forward.

Before You Arrive

Complete your intake form prior to your appointment. It helps us understand your history ahead of time so we can use your in-person time for listening, assessment, and treatment.

Arrive 10–15 minutes early. A few extra minutes lets you settle in, use the restroom, and start relaxed.

What To Wear

Wear (or bring) clothing that allows easy access to acupuncture points:

  • Shorts or loose pants that roll above the knee

  • A tank top, t-shirt, or loose long sleeve

  • If you’re coming from work, bring a change of clothes

We’ll always prioritize comfort and modesty.

What Happens During Your First Visit

You can expect three parts:

  1. A thorough intake (your symptoms + lifestyle patterns)

  2. A clear clinical direction (what we think is driving it). How we need to change things in your life style. What changes we need to make to your diet. A snapshot of how far or how close you live to harmony and how to find you're way back.

  3. Your first acupuncture treatment (same day)

If You're Nervous About Needles

Totally normal. Acupuncture needles are hair-thin and very different from injection needles—most people are surprised by how gentle it feels. We treat patients as young as 7 years old, and many report little to no discomfort; we can also use fewer needles and go at your pace.

Helpful To Bring

A list of medications + supplements

  • Any relevant labs or imaging (if you have them)

  • Your top 1–3 goals for care (sleep, pain, stress, digestion, fertility, etc.)
